Space to Reserve Hotspot Changes

Overview

To continue providing industry-leading functionality, Tango would like to bring to your attention an enhancement to Space Management. This applies to all Tango Space customers. This functionality will be available on January 10, 2024.

Summary of Changes

The size of the automatically created hotspots from Space to Reserve has been increased. The hotspot will now cover the full-space polyline. The diameter of the circle is calculated using the smaller of the polyline's height and width.

To better control the size of the hotspots, a new setting has been added to the Floor Plan, under the floor's setting which will control the minimum and maximum size of the hotspots for that floor. Only users with the space-reservesettings-edit-role will see the new settings.

After making the settings change, the floor needs to be synced with Reserve and the new minimum and maximum sizes will be used.

In the following example, the small workstation now has a hotspot size of 40.

In the following example, the conference room now has a hotspot size of 200.

Next Steps / Action Required

The change in the hotspot size will be rolled out automatically to all Tango Space customers. The next time the floor is synced with Reserve the new hotspot sizes will be used. The floor plan settings needs to be turned on for any user that needs this functionality.
