Overview
To continue providing industry-leading functionality, Tango would like to bring to your attention an enhancement to show how spaces are created without a CAD file. This applies to all Tango Space customers. This functionality will be available on February 9, 2024.
Summary of Changes
We have enhanced the Space Management module to allow the management of Floors and Space without the need for a CAD file. In Coworking spaces and other types of buildings, CAD files are not always available. With this change, a floor can be defined as a No CAD Floor. When this attribute is set, users can Add, Delete, and Edit spaces from the Floor's space tab.
To add spaces, press the Add button on the Floor's space tab and enter the space number. You can add multiple spaces at once by using a comma-separated list of space numbers (i.e., Desk 1, Desk 2, Desk 3). All spaces created will have a 0 actual sqft.
Once the spaces have been added they can be edited by selecting the spaces in the list and pressing the edit button. Multiple spaces can be edited at once. The floor plan screen, without a floor plan, will be displayed and those spaces will be selected will be in the space or multi-space edit console.
The No CAD spaces have the same attributes and abilities as CAD spaces. People and Departments can be assigned to them, they can be added to Areas and used in capacity planning. If you make the spaces reservable, assets will be created in Reserve just like CAD spaces.
