Overview
To continue providing industry-leading functionality, Tango would like to bring to your attention an enhancement to Space Management. This applies to all Tango Space customers. This functionality will be available on September 13, 2024.
Summary of Changes
To better support the use of both imperial (sqft) and metric (sqm) measurements throughout the Space module we have made a number of changes.
- Unit of measure on building top ribbon. This is based on the country that the building is in.
- Building Overview Graphs will be displayed using the building's unit of measurement.
- Building attributes will only let you enter measurements based on the building's unit of measurement. For example, if the building is set to metric, you will only be able to enter the Area value in square meters. The system will calculate the square feet.
- The measurements on the Building's Floor tab will now be displayed using the building's unit of measurement. The labels will be changed to Rentable, Usable, Actual and Gross.
- The measurements on the Building's Space tab will now be displayed using the building's unit of measurement. The labels will be changed to Rentable, Usable, Actual.
- New columns have been added to Classic Search for Properties, Buildings, Floors and Spaces to support square meters. These columns need to be turned on through configuration and it is possible to see both square feet and square meters in the same search.
- New Space Polygon labels for Actual SQM, Usable SQM and Rentable SQM have been added to view the measurements on the CAD plan. Please note if you turn on both SQFT and SQM labels, they may overlap on the CAD plan, since the SQFT and SQM labels share the same default label position.
- Area Measurement dropdown has been added to the CAD visualize and will control the unit of measurement that is displayed for the Area in the legend.
- New columns have been added to the Space Area search screen for Actual SM, Usable SM and Rentable SM. These columns need to be turned on through configuration and it is possible to see both square feet and square meters in the same search.
- The Unit of Measurement has been added to the Area's top ribbon. This is based on the building's unit of measurement that the area is in. Additionally, the Area's Actual, Usable, Rentable and Lease Rentable measurements will be displayed using the area's unit of measurement.
- The measurements on the Area's Space tab will now be displayed using the area's unit of measurement.
- The Lease Rentable on the Area's Lease tab will now be entered and displayed using the area's unit of measurement.
Next Steps / Action Required
This new feature will not be rolled out automatically to all Tango Space customers. Kindly submit a ticket with Tango Support Services through ZenDesk if you would like to request this functionality enabled. Labels that show Actual SF, Usable SF and Rentable SF will be changed to Actual, Usable and Rentable to support the use of international measurements.
