Overview
To continue providing industry-leading functionality, Tango would like to bring to your attention an enhancement to allow Areas within the Visual Query reporting. This applies to all Tango Space customers. This functionality will be available on July 12, 2024.
Summary of Changes
We have added Areas to Visual Query reporting.
Visual Query supports all the different area types (Normal, Flex, Shift, Neighborhood, etc.) and the data returned will depend on the type of area. For example, if the area is not a flex area, the results will not return flexible calculations nor people assigned to the area.
All the data returned is based on data that is assigned directly to the areas or is calculated based on data within the areas.
There are limitations to the types of queries that can be performed.
No results will be returned if you choose both spaces and people in the same query. Since spaces are assigned to the area and people are assigned to the area there is no relationship between spaces and people within an area. If we allowed this query, it would return the cross join of Spaces and People, which would yield to many rows (# of spaces x # of people).
If the area is a Neighborhood, only the people assigned to an area are returned. People assigned directly to a space within the area will not be returned. You cannot select the Direct Space # in the query.
You cannot select Cost Center ID and Name for a Person. Since the area and a person have cost centers the system will not return results.
Next Steps / Action Required
