Tango Maintenance - Asset Enhancements - Scheduled and Demand Maintenance

Modified on Tue, 3 Mar at 1:03 AM

Overview

The July Sprint has introduced a new features and Enhancement in the Maintenance application around Assets that the Tango team wanted to highlight.

  1. Scheduled Maintenance option to generate Work Orders per Asset
    • Added a checkbox to give Facility Managers the option of generating Scheduled Maintenance Work Orders per Asset, or to group all Assets per Location into a single SM Work Order (legacy behavior)
  2. Find Asset/Asset Lookup on Demand Maintenance
    • Enhanced the Asset dropdown fields by replacing them with more robust lookup functionality.

Scheduled Maintenance Work Orders Per Asset

Tango Maintenance provides Facility Managers the option to continue grouping all Assets per selected Locations into a single Scheduled Maintenance Work Order, or to generate separate SM Work Orders per Asset. This option is set per Scheduled Maintenance plan on Step 2 (the “Places/Things” tab) of setting up the plan.

Help Text:
When checked, separate SM Work Orders will be created per each Asset selected for each Location. If the Location has no Assets selected on the Locations & Assets record, a single SM Work Order will still be created for the Location. When unchecked, a single SM Work Order will be created per Location with all selected Assets on the same Work Order.

In this example, checking the box will generate 6 Scheduled Maintenance Work Orders for the Tango QA HQ Location because there are 6 Assets selected.

If unchecked, a single Scheduled Maintenance Work Order would be generated for the Location with all Assets listed on that one Work Order. Note: This is legacy system behavior.

Demand Maintenance Find Assets Lookup

We have replaced the Asset Type and Asset dropdown fields with a more feature-rich lookup search screen on various Demand Maintenance screens (Service Request and Work Order).

Users may notice that the field layout has been adjusted slightly to accommodate the new Find Asset button, and there might be some slight differences in the field locations per screen.

For example, the Facility Manager Service Request screen:

And the Work Order Screens for External and Internal Maintenance:

In all cases when using the Find Asset button, the user will see a popup with the list of Assets for the Location selected on the Service Request/Work Order. This popup allows the user to filter the asset list by Type and a handful of other fields.

Selecting an Asset from the list will populate the Asset Type and Asset fields on the parent record.
