Introduction
Tango Maintenance has always supported the creation of a service request, through the Tango Edge platform or through Tango Workplace (Mobile). We have recently provided an additional modality, our Core platform.
View/Create Service Request
Note the General group of the Tango Core Dashboard and the highlighted icon, Service Request, below:
Viewing Service Requests
After selecting the Service Request icon, the following screen is displayed:
Two lists of information are displayed. The top list displays open service requests created by the signed-in user. In the example above, one open service request exists. The bottom list displays completed service requests. Search, sort and filter tools are available for both lists to provide easy access to specific information.
Creating Service Requests
To create a new service request, choose the Create Service Request command button. The following screen will display:
Note that Requested For and Phone Number will be defaulted based on the signed-in user.
Populate the required fields (based on * designation) prior to saving or submitting your request. Fields should be populated as follows:
- Location - select the search icon or click into the location field and the location search will be displayed. Search for the location this request is associated with. Should the signed-in user have a default location, this information will be pre-filled.
- Issue Type - select the related business area impacted (Heating/Cooling, Plumbing, IT Issue, etc.). Issue Type will filter the impacted area.
- Impacted Area - select where the issue is occurring. This list will be filtered based on the Issue Type.
- Problem Code - select the specifics of the issue occurring. This list will be filtered based on the Issue Type and Impacted Area values selected.
- Description - input a description of the issue occurring.
- Requested For - this field will default to the signed-in user. When creating an issue for another person, update the Requested For as necessary.
- Phone Number - this field will default to the signed-in user's work phone number. Update the Phone Number, if necessary.
- Additional Notification Email - this allows all notifications to be sent, in addition to the Requested For, to an additional email address.
Upon completion of the form, select the Save button to save your work-in-progress (and not yet route the request for assignment) or select the Submit button to save the record and submit for assignment.
