Microsoft 365
Does anything gets installed on the Exchange Server?

Is Microsoft Graph supported for Reserve+M365?
Yes
What does the Reserve Admin Service account used for as it relates to the Connector?
Reserve Service Account is used by the Exchange Connector to make API calls to the Reserve system. Calls are being made to retrieve, create and update reservations as part of the two-way integration between Microsoft’s Exchange and the Reserve system.
What information from the Outlook calendar appointment are used and stored in Reserve?
- The meeting organizer is the Reserve reservation owner.
- The meeting location is the asset in Reserve.
- The date and time of the appointment is the the date and time of the reservation.
- The meeting title is the reservation name in Reserve.
- Any invitees to the appointment are invitees in Reserve.
Can asset names have special characters?
Not when the M365 Connector is in use. Asset names cannot contain special characters as it will cause a failure in the syncing process.
Can we use Workspace Resource for our resources synced with exchange?
We do not recommend that Workspace Resource be utilized for Exchange Connector rooms as the initial sync will not resolve the room in the connector. However, we have seen clients change this configuration after the initial sync which has yet to cause any issues with the sync between the application and their calendars.
What happens when the meeting is canceled, or when the room reservation is canceled?
The schedules in Reserve and the Exchange Room Calendars are constantly syncing. So that, when a user cancels their meeting from Outlook, the room reservation in Reserve will also be canceled. (No meeting, no room needed!)
When a user cancels their reservation in Reserve, the meeting will remain on the owners' Outlook calendar, but the location (in this case the asset/room) will be removed from the meeting appointment. Not canceling the meeting appointment is core functionality. Even though you may no longer need the room, the meeting can still occur. The integration only controls the room/location itself.
Are restricted user and asset groups allowed with the integration?
This is not recommended practice. If the M365 Integration is in place, and you wish to use a user/asset group structure with various permissions in Reserve, if the calendar ecosystem does not have these restrictions, meaning anyone can book the room calendar in the Outlook interfaces, then when they try to add a room that they do not have the permissions to in Reserve (not in the user group associated with that asset) or are not in Reserve, then the meeting request will be canceled. This can lead to a negative user experience.
