How to add a new user in Reserve

Log in to Tango Reserve using your email and password, or via SSO.

From the Reserve homepage, navigate to the “settings” page. From here, click the Users tab.

On the left margin, click ADD A USER

 

To add a new user, you are required to enter some basic details including Name, Email, Preferred Language.

 

You will also need to select a User Group. To do this, click on the User Group field and click  "search". 

As a default, your general end-users should get the ALL USERS user group. Reserve Administrators should also get the Asset Approvers and Asset Managers.

If you have any custom user groups, make sure to add those as needed. 

Once completed, click “save” and your new user has been created

 

Please note, you will need to make sure you have the proper permissions to be able to add a user to the Reserve. If you do not have the proper permissions, please see your Reserve administrator.

Roles & Rights

On the left margin, select User Role and Rights. Assign the appropriate role to the user. If needed, you can modify the rights for the user should it be different from the default rights. Refer to this article for more information on Roles.

Click Save when finished.

 

Business Rules

On the left, click Business Rules. Modify the rules as needed. 

 

Details (Optional Fields)

Enter your new user’s basic details. You can also add the user to the correct location which is used in Analytics. 

After you have completed all necessary information on the first page, click “save”

The new user will receive an email in their inbox inviting them to join Reserve. Please note, the user must activate their new account within 24 hours. Otherwise, they will need to reset their password for access.
