This article is intended to assist clients prepare to implement Reserve + Cisco Phone Switching.
Please note: In Reserve, the User Call Manager Profile ID is referred to as the "User Profile ID"
Steps for Reserve clients:
- Review the SOE article here
- Verify that your organization can meet the SOE requirements
- Gather the MAC Address of each reservable Asset from the CUCM - Cisco Call Manager
- Gather User Call Manager Profile ID (User Profile IDs in Reserve) from the CUCM - Cisco Call Manager
- Verify that Assets to be included in the integration have been created in Reserve and add their MAC Address (under “Phone Information” in the Asset’s details)*
- Verify that Users to be included in the integration have been created in Reserve and add their User Profile ID (under “Phone Information”)
- Provide environment connection to AQ
- Cisco Call Manager Information:
- Login ID for the Cisco Call Manager
- Password for the Cisco Call Manager
- The URL to perform a login on the Cisco Call Manager
- The URL to perform a query on the Cisco Call Manager
- Attend an environment check meeting with the Tango Reserve team
- Once the environment check has passed, the Tango Reserve team will work with you to install the OperatorAgent Software
- A connectivity test will then be performed (see below for preparation steps)
- Once this test is deemed successful, the integration is complete!
The information listed below may be used in preparing for a connectivity testing and implementation session for phone switching with the Tango Reserve technical team.
In preparation for this session, please make sure we have the following:
- CUCM credentials for the application user with proxy authentication EM rights.
- A test User Profile ID from the CUCM with extension mobility enabled.
- A test Asset (MAC address) from the CUCM with extension mobility enabled.
- Remote access to the Switch Agent VM/machine.
- Connectivity to the CUCM EM service should be allowed/enabled from the switch agent VM/machine over HTTP (i.e. disable or configure any firewall rules that may exist so that this is allowed).
- It would be helpful to have a CUCM resource on hand for the connectivity test in case we encounter issues on that side during the session.
The URL to use for the independent test will be: http://ClientCUCMIPAddress/emservice/jsp/Tools/sampleloginapp.jsp. You (the client) will place your CUCM name or IP address in the italicized area and hit this URL using a web browser during the test. From there, we will be using the application user credentials, end user profile and MAC address from the CUCM to log the end user ON (then OFF) of the MAC address. This will simulate what the Reserve does with phone switching functionality.
