These are the steps to setup the iOS Room Kiosk app on your conference room iPads.
PREREQUISITES FOR SETTING UP ROOM KIOSK
- iPad with iPadOS 10.0 or later
- Download Tango Reserve Room Kiosk from the Apple Store. Search for Tango Reserve Room Panel
- The Location name.
- The Asset information including:
- Category and Type (ex: Collaboration Space, Conference Room)
- The Asset Name
- A Tango Reserve Account Login and Password. You would need to create a new user in Reserve for the Room Kiosk (Set up as an Admin, and mark as private). This user must have the right to Manage Room Kiosk Settings. You will need to create a Reserve PW for this user. Keep track of it.
- If using SAML, have the the Reserve instance name or EAS URL ready.
- The instance name is your "Reserve" name.
- You can also use your EAS URL
STEPS TO SET UP
Download the app from the App Store
After downloading the app, open the Room Panel (Kiosk) app on the device and tap GET STARTED
Select the Country & Region, and the Language and tap NEXT
Sign in to you Account. This must be an Admin Account with the rights to Manage Kiosk Settings
Enter the Location information where the asset is located, along with the Category, Type and the Asset Name where this device will be used.
Select the assets that will be displayed on the Room Kiosk. In this example, the device will be used for one room.
Select the image to be displayed on the device
Select the user to be associated with this Room Kiosk. This is the user you created in step 6 of the pre-requisites as noted above.
If you are using SAML on the device, enter the Instance Name or EAS URL for your Reserve SAML. Tap Next.
Display the QR code (Optional)
The Room Kiosk app is now ready for testing
ROOM KIOSK PROPERTIES (Set by Tango)
The Room Kiosk setup is defaulted such that users are required to authenticate when reserving, adding time, checking out, or cancelling a reservation. The properties below can be used to enhance your user experience. Reach out to your ReserveProject Manager or open a ticket with support to request a configuration change.

| Max Checkin Minutes Before Reservation | Defines when to show the Check In button for upcoming reservations. E.g. if the property is set to 10 minutes and the reservation starts at 10:00 am, the app will show Check In button at 9:50 am. | Number of Minutes |
