Early Check-in and Start Time

If I check in early to my reservation, will the start time adjust to the time I checked in?

Example: I have a 9:00am reservation and I checked in at 8:30am, will it adjust the start time if my reservation to 8:30?

It depends. Whether or not the start time will adjust to the check-in time is configurable by asset category. We can set this to adjust (or not adjust) for collaboration spaces and workspaces. If you choose to activate this for collaboration spaces, the rule would apply to ALL collaboration spaces (not just specific ones). 

Best Practice: 

• Collaboration Spaces: Do not roll back (or adjust) the start time to the check in time. In the example above, the start time of the reservation will remain at 9:00am. This would allow users to check in early to their reservation without changing the start time. 
  • This is especially true if you have the Reserve + Exchange integration to prevent the meeting start times from adjusting to the check-in time.
• Workspaces: Set to roll back to the start time.
