Touchscreen Settings in Firefox

Modified on Tue, 3 Mar at 1:04 AM

Some Firefox users have reported their Info Windows in the map are not opening if their laptop has a touchscreen.

To resolve, users will need to make a setting change within Firefox to disable touch events.

To make this change in Firefox:

1). Open Firefox browser and type "about:config" into the address bar of the browser.

2). Click the "I accept the risk!" button.

3). In the Search bar enter "dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled"

4). When you double click this item, a dialog box will appear that allows you to change the value of the setting.

Change this to 0

The dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled tri-state preference can be used to disable (0), enable(1), and auto-detect(2) support for standard touch events; by default, they're on auto-detect(2).

5). After changing the preference, you must restart the browser for the changes to take effect.

6). After the Firefox browser is re-launched, log into the Tango App again.  Open the map and confirm the Info Windows open.
