  1. How long does Tango store the user’s location. Is this the same for a location provided within the geofenced range versus outside?
    The Tango Reserve mobile apps make use of the LBS (Location Based Service) and geofence capabilities of both the iOS and Android platforms. There is no user location information stored by Tango Reserve.
  2. How frequent does the app pull a user’s location? Here’s a scenario: If a user has their Location permissions set to only while using but they leave the app open, does Tango check their location multiple times while the app is open? Is there a different app behavior depending on if they have a reservation to check into or not?
    Tango Reserve makes use of geofencing available in both iOS and Android for alerting. For just-in-time activities, the app checks to see if the user is within the acceptable boundary to perform the specific activity (check-in).
  3. When does Tango collects our location data and how frequent it collects the data. Is there action needed on the user end to trigger the collection of the data or does it happen periodically when the application is open?”

  5. Is precise location tracking used, or only coarse location (e.g., within a building or area)?
    Tango Reserve mobile apps do not currently provide any location tracking within a small area or building. Tango Reserve can make use of other information to correlate activities within a facility (PLAI feeds, badge data, etc.).
  6. Is location data collected only at the time of check-in/reservation, or continuously? (if iPhone setting for location is set to "Always")

    N/A - LBS data is neither stored nor transmitted
  11. Who within your company has access to this data, and how is access controlled?

  12. Do you provide audit logs of access to location data?
    N/A - LBS data is not stored
  13. Do you provide clear consent mechanisms for employees before location tracking is activated?
    With both iOS and Android platforms, end user consent is required before an app can make use of Location Based Services.
  14. Is there a different between how the iOS and Android app behaves?
    There are some differences between iOS and Android when it comes to Location Based Services.
