How to give access or edit rights in Tango Core or Edge?

Modified on Tue, 3 Mar at 12:48 AM

If you need to grant access:

  • Add a new user
  1. Login to PROD instance
  2. Select the "User Admin" module under the administration from the home page.

3. Check if the client has SSO enabled.

Click the "Search" button to bring up a list of existing users and Check if it is SSO Enabled.

NOTE: If the SSO Enabled checkbox is checked, then the client uses Single Sign-On (SSO) for its users and any new user you create must also have SSO enabled. If not, the client doesn't use SSO and any new users must also not have SSO enabled. Keep in mind this also changes how we respond to the client once the user is created, as well.

4. Perform a search to ensure the new user does not already exist.

Note: If the user already exists, inform the client and ask them if they are attempting to modify an existing user and, if so, in what way. Or, if the user is having trouble accessing the platform, etc.

5. If the user does not exist, click the "New User" button.

6. A pop-up will appear. Complete the user details and click "Save".

NOTE: The User Type option has four options. These are explained below:

  • Corporate. A client internal user (most common).
  • Contractor. An external vendor (has limited access).
  • Franchisee.
  • General User.

NOTE: A client might state that you can copy the attributes from an existing user. If so, you can use the "Copy From" field to search find and find the user to copy attributes from.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Triple-check all user information from the ticket to make sure you have populated it correctly in the form above. Simple mistakes like misspellings and erroneous settings can delay the process of resolving the ticket and reflect poorly on the Support department.

7. Optional. If it's a client using SSO.

If the client is using SSO, ensure the new user has SSO enabled by searching for and clicking the user's record after you've created it and double-checking the SSO Enabled checkbox.

8. After providing the necessary roles and access to regions make sure the "Defaults" are updated and Click on Save.

  • Reset a user's password
  1. Click on the username, it will redirect you to user details page.

  2. Click on the Reset Password button at the top right. This will trigger a new temporary password, which the user can then reset again as required.

  • Change a user's role or edit access

  1. Click on Plus icon under Role's access section to add the roles

2. Select the checkbox of the roles that should be removed and click on Delete symbol to remove the roles.

  • Deactivate a user

    1.  To deactivate the user, uncheck the fields Active and Mobile Access if enabled.

  • Activate/deactivate SSO

    1. To activate SSO, enable the checkbox. To deactivate SSO, uncheck the checkbox.

Please open a request in Zendesk by clicking Submit a Request, select User access or Multiple User Access and complete the remaining fields to submit your request to Support.
