How do I set up assets to be used as permanently assigned desks?

In this scenario:

• Some employees will have assigned desks. Other desks will be hoteling.
• Managers/Community Managers/Admins will make the permanent reservations in advance for these users. (the users will not be making it themselves)
• Check-in is not required, so no auto-bump occurs on these permanent desks.

User group/asset group setup:

1. Asset group – since check-in is not required and users will not be auto-bumped, these assets can all go in the Reserve Assets group.
2. User group – The users can be in the All Users group.
3. Other considerations – any permanent desk that is not assigned to anyone will be reservable desk unless you make it Inactive. As an alternative, you could also create a new asset group that only the Admins would have access to for booking.
