In the Daily UMP Status Message Failures email, what is the difference between "Total Failures" and "Error Records"?

The Error Record count is the number of records that were removed from the UMP process because of validation logic issues where we parse out those records (duplicates, missing/bad data, etc.). These are listed in the List of Errors in the same email as indicated below:

FAILURES are records that still get processed by the UMP, but then are rejected at the Reserve level when the DMU tries to upload them because of some type of conflict or something required at the Reserve level, like adding a user with the same email address as another user or with the same user credentials as another user, missing business units, departments, etc. at the Reserve level that the upload record may have.
