It is assumed that individual(s) implement the application has system administrator privileges on the application machine with the necessary IP/Machine Name/DNS friendly information for all machines required for installation

  • 20 GB of Diskspace

  • JDK-13.0.2 or higher
  • Access to CRESTRON FUSION Server
  • You will also need to create Crestron User with the ability to book on behalf of users that can connect to your RESERVE. We recommend creating a user like “Crestron User”

NOTE: You can also use Amazon Corretto, however the version of Corretto must match the version of the JDK build for that specific CRESTRON build.

Install

This version of Crestron is not an IIS application. It utilizes its own service.

  1. After meeting the prerequisites, unzip the CRESTRONFORUM.zip file provided by Tango to the drive of your choice.
  2. Navigate to the following path: [Machine]||c:||crestronforum||config|| and open application.properties in notepad++.

You will need to add the following:

USER_LOGIN= “This will be the Crestron user that will be able to login into RESERVE”

USER_PASSWORD=”This is the password for the Crestron user you have created”

Save this file and close.

  1. Navigate to the following path: [Machine]||c:||crestronforum||config||bat|| and open setenv.bat in notepad ++

You will need scroll to the bottom to update the portion with the correct JDK version:

rem set java_home=.. /jdk-13.0.2

set lib=.. /lib

Once this has been updated save and close it.

  1. Navigate back to [Machine]||c:||crestronforum||config||bat and run the following service as an administrator:

InstallService.bat

Once this has been installed start the “AgilQuest FORUM Crestron Connector” service

Once you get a confirmation that the settings are ok, click the SAVE & CLOSE button at the bottom of the screen.

Helpful notes

  • The server that you install this service on must have the ability to connect to the internet.
  • The CRESTRON user does not have to have its own mailbox and will not need to be synced in Exchange since it connects to RESERVE.
  • The Crestron user can have full admin rights or restricted rights.
  • If something needs to be changed in the properties file or sentenv.cmd, you will need to stop services completely before making the changes.
  • The CRESTRON user does not use SAML and the option to reset password is recommended in the event troubleshooting this user’s access is needed.
